Experience
Estates, succession and fiduciary work
Craig led his own legal practice for more than 12 years before serving as a partner and head of wills, trusts and estates at a Cape Town law firm. He leads Craig W. A. Webber Attorneys personally.
His estate work includes administration from reporting to finalisation, preparing liquidation and distribution accounts, assisting appointed executors and advising heirs and beneficiaries. These are distinct roles: an instruction to advise a beneficiary is separate from administering the estate or assisting its executor.
He prepares and reviews wills and considers how they fit with asset ownership, family circumstances, trusts and business arrangements. His trust work includes reviewing deeds, advising on trustee decisions, preparing resolutions and assisting with ongoing administration.
His professional work also includes a separate appointment as Head of Legal in a private family office.
